Somatic Coaching

About Me
As a trauma-informed somatic coach I guide people towards experiencing their situations and lives in new ways. I aim to help bring patterns and beliefs into consciousness to discover what might be holding people back and empower them to start living aligned with their values, vision and purpose.
My Focus Areas
Somatic coaching supports the development of greater sensitivity to the body as a source of information about how we are organising our experiences. It supports the relaxation of familiar patterns, and cultivates experimentation with different ways of self-organising that are better suited to our particular life situations and challenges. Through developing our access to 'whole intelligence' somatic coaching equips us with the resources to navigate the complexities of our situations on an ongoing basis and beyond the time frame of the coaching sessions.
Nervous system regulation and cultivating a felt sense of safety in the body
Supporting life transitions with clarity, courage and self-trust
Releasing blocks e.g. shame, perfectionism, fear of not being good enough
Guiding people from overwhelm into embodied presence
The emergence of new patterns of thinking, feeling and action
Strengthening self-belief to step towards what matters

What People Are Saying

"We are not simply a collection of past experiences, and the self-images, stories and mental representations we have formed from these. We are also somatic beings with bodies that experience sensation and emotion. Moment by moment our bodies are a rich source of information about how we are experiencing ourselves, sensing the wider field and the dynamics of different contexts we are in, and constructing meaning about our participation in the world" (Cavicchia & Gilbert).

My coaching is rooted in the same values that guide the organisation’s wider work - inclusion, accessibility, and nurturing a sense of belonging in ourselves and the world around us.

As a project of OWLS CIC, any profits from this coaching go back into our non-profit programmes and community projects, helping to provide accessible, therapeutic, nature-based experiences, and coaching for children and adults who might otherwise face barriers to support.
